Folks who opened an SR and had NSC-CSC-NSC transfers, what is the format of the ref # the Cust Service Rep gave you??

Wait till next week-end. My 140 mailed to NSC on 11th April (why?? not sure) and received RN from texas. ND was dated 19th April. RD was 13th April.
Now # of applications are more so it can take more time but your RD will be maintained.

But the issue is they changed something last month (I need to search on that) and according to which 485 will be processed in two places NSC or TSC based on their I140 approval. As you know they keep changing the rule every month, it really hard to track all of these things.

I had a LUD on 7/28 and nothing after that... My I140 approved in Texas in April2006. I think we should get the receipt number here pretty soon...

Hi,
I received my (and my family's) transfer notice (and hence the WAC### nos.) for 485 application yesterday at my residence. The cases were filed in CA by my lawyer (filing from MD). The cases have been transferred to TX.
I am yet to receive any notice/tracking no. for EAD and AP applications. The checks were made by the lawyer so that is not an option.
Questions::confused:
1) Does transfer mean delay in processing ?
2) Is EAD tracking no. different from the 485 no. ? If so, where can I get that from ?
3) Are they still issuing EADs in about a couple of months ? If so, that is great. If not, when does the 90-day clock start for INFOPASS ? (if it is an option in this incresed activity)
Any answers or discussions or links to the solutions are welcome.

Well, culture has tremendous impact on people. Looking at the state of our country, what have we become in last 63+ years? Major percentage of population still live under poor living conditions. We are one of the most corrupted countries in the world. Some people want to live in denial. Boasting about greatness that doesn't exist is of no use to the current and future generations. We have to make our country great by changing the conditions. In order to do that, first we need to acknowledge that there are serioous issues. Unless we all unitedly agree that the conditions are pathetic and will worsen, nothing is going to change.

I totally agree that the conditions in India - call it culture or problems, are pathetic. after 63+ years, rich have become filthy richer and still majority have poor quality of life. just see how much black money these filthy rich ppl hoarded in swiss banks. sure, India has great ancient history/achievements; to me, present and forseeable future matters most because that is the time I am alive ! I came to this Country on a Student Visa - This Country gave me decent paying job, much much better quality of life, low cost of living, Freedom of expression/speech, good amount of free time to invest for my personal interests.

The lawyer of simple1 is not correct. INA specifically has the language for counting all immigrants (including spouses and children) towards numerical limits, and, we have been working to include provisions to eliminate counting depents towards numerical limits. Doing such extra effort as mentioned in the first post of the thread is not going to be helpful. When there is a bill we should be pushing towards not counting dependents and it is more straightforward. That will take care of the backlog issues to some extent. Admin fixes do not change laws, so admin fix for this is not possible as some suggested

Technically, we are applicants for immigrant status who are stuck in non-immigrant status indefinitely. A prospective immigrant is different from one granted legal residency (GC holder). Not sure if it makes a difference or not in the eyes of congressmen.
