I feel Faxing 1 page document with the critical issues will have more impact in addition to the emails .

I came here in 2000 and applied for GC in 2003(Nothing much Happened to it). Moved to different Company in March 2005 and applied for GC before PERM started. After that Applied for RIR conversion in JAN 2007 and my bad luck, the Labor did not get cleared before Auguat 17th and Company did not apply in PERM and Almost all of them got EAD and i am left behind. I am in this country for close to eight Years and not even signs of EAD.
On top of it, I applied H1b for my Wife this year and the quota was over on the first Day. She has PHD in Computer-science and did not get H1. What a mess ? And what kind of life i am leading here...
Thinking of all these things, I feel so frustated...
I am just waiting for PD to be 2005 and then apply for I-485 ? (Sucks Man..)
I am the worst Unluckiest Person on this whole earth....

There was and continues to be lot of discussion around multiple 485s. When USCIS is adjudicating a 485, they look at other pending 485s and cancel them. I had two 485s - 1 on EB3 and the other EB2. EB2 became current recently. They approved the EB2 one and rejected the EB3. So you can have multiple 485s.

My husband received CPO mail on 08/04, welcome mail on 08/05, soft LUD on 08/06 and approval notice sent mail on 08/09 but dated 08/08 in USCIS status. Hoping to have the GC in hand next week.
Anyone who has the same chain of events or received GC for CPO mail on 08/04 or later?
Same exact sequence of events happened to me. I am sure we will have our cards this week God willingly.

I am not sure whether you have US born kid or not.. but I have read somewhere that if mother has US born kid, she can stay here in US on Kids account. You might want to check this...

I think it is ironic that we (from India) complain about quota on GC when we are the masters of quotas whether it be in education, workplace, politics etc. I myself was not affected by quotas in India, but I know several friends who were, simply because they were born in "upper caste" and therefore had to be denied opportunities as "revenge" for the injustice meted out by their ancestors several centuries ago, instead of being based on economics.
I personally think GC quota has a rationale behind it. It allows for a reasonable share to go to smaller countries so that the US population maintains its diversity. Besides, near the end of the year, if the numbers are unused, they are rolled over to larger countries like India and China, thereby automatically eliminating the quota.
EB based GC should NOT have Quota (.) We are already IN the system. How will it effect diversity. Diversity visa are meant for divesrsity. EB is skill based and only skill should be cared for,

8/1: Created SR. Reply on 8/10 your case is under review, You will receive decision or notice of action in 30 to 60 days.
8/2: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- IO bought the file to the counter and asked for EVL and also a letter from company stating they support my I140.
I work for Top 5 company in Silicon valley. Company attorney got the required documents in 3 days. IO also generated FInger Printing appointment the same day.
8/11: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- Submitted the EVL and other documents given by the company. IO made copies of our Finger Printing notice.
8/19: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- Officer checked the status of our case and indicated visa number has been assigned. Files are with the same officer.
8/20: Card Production ordered for my wife and myself.

I have read in a few places that we plan to send flowers on 11, and 12th also?
If that is the case then the document has to be updated to include those dates. Also, I suggest collecting emails and fax numbers and assigning a few people to do the actual "sending". This will make it easier to coordinate.

On aug 9 th, USCIS nebraska center issued a total of 4063 receipt nos for 485, EAD, and APs.

From this, if we assume ~4000/day, it ll take 20 working days to clear july 2nd filers (~80,000). My guess is by 31st Aug.

I do not understand why people spend their energy in coming up with some lame ideas. Just because you suffer does not mean that your fellows have to suffer, what is the point of being a sane individual with that kind of thought process.
There are people who come here on all kinds of visas F1, H1, L1 and like this country and stay back and need a green card for convenience. Students who came here want priority over people who came on H1B. It makes sense from their point of view.
Similarly people on H1B who got stuck in several stages and had to change the company have their own point of view.
How bout having a lame rule saying that GC for people with I.Q of 140 and above?

How bout having a lame rule like if you have a family you will be penalized by putting you at the end of the line for GC?
The list can go endless..
Worry less about who is cutting the line and getting ahead and please concentrate and put your energy and come up with good ideas and showing what we are really capable of..

140K GCs were available on Oct 1 2005 and Oct 2006: categories were not current.
< 40K GCs were available on June 12 2007: all categories were current.
If there is a law to prevent acceptance of ALL AOS's on Oct 1 (when 140K GCs are available) then that law was violated on June 12 2007.
If there is no law to prevent acceptance of AOS's on June 12 (when < 40K GCs were available) then all categories should have been current on Oct 1 2005 and Oct 1 2006.

hope that means they are willing to talk about giving EAD. If we get EAD all the lawsuits will be withdrawn. The law does not say AOS applications should not be accepted when there are no visa numbers available, the law only says AOS cannot be approved when visa numbers are not available.
